This Global Perspectives in the Music Business course will provide students with the opportunity to work across disciplines & programs with students from Australia, China, Norway and Sweden. They will plan & execute a collaborative project with an entertainment industry partner (i.e. a record label or festival organizer) and work closely with students from other countries on the project. They will also have the opportunity to gain insights and perspectives from faculty through lectures from those programs.

Participation in cultural activities is required for international students.

COURSES AVAILABLE
 
All courses will satisfy either Belmont requirements in the Gen Ed core or the specified major. You must participate in at least one course offered. You should consult individual program faculty to see how online options can fit into your study abroad program.

COURSE NAME AND NUMBER: 
  • MBU 3895 (3950): Global Perspectives in the Music Business (3 credits)
 
ONLINE OPTIONS:
ENG 3950: Third Year Writing (English 3010; satisfies BELL CORE requirement)
REL 3950: Religion Jr. Cornerstone (Path A or B; satisfies BELL CORE requirement)
INB 3950: (satisfies BBA Core Business requirement for International Business 3300)


COSTS

1. Program Fee: $500: 
 The program fee covers activity costs and some meals.

2. Belmont Tuition
Tuition is charged at the special study abroad tuition rate of 2/3 off the cost of normal Summer tuition. For every 3 hours of study abroad credit you register for, you pay for only one hour.  

Program Deposit: $500 due at time of application
